The PA Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial (America250PA)
was established in 2018 to plan, encourage, develop and coordinate the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, Pennsylvania’s integral role in that event, and the impact of its people on the nation’s past, present, and future.

America250PA Clinton County's theme is 250 Years and Still Growing.

We will encourage and inspire future leaders, celebrate the contributions of the County to our Commonwealth’s and Country's history, and spark an interest and appreciation for all citizens to make positive contributions to their community, Commonwealth and Country.

Join us in the celebrations leading up to America's 250th Anniversary on July 4, 2026

America250PA Clinton County - 250 Years and Still Growing!

INTRODUCING THE 250 YEARS & STILL GROWING MURAL MOSAIC PROJECT

America250PA-Clinton County is excited to invite your group, club, organization, or business to take part in a one-of-a-kind community art project as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary!

Through the 250 Years and Still Growing Mural Mosaic Project, groups from across the community will collaborate to create a mural depicting the historic Tiadaghton Elm.

Here’s how it works:

  • Fun Painting Parties! You host your own event for your business or organization to paint the individual tiles that will create this mural.  Make the party as large or small as you like.
  • Schedule what works best for you. You can have your painting party when you want, wherever it is most comfortable and convenient for your group.
  • You pick up the supply kits at the Piper Building in Lock Haven. They will be pre-packed and waiting for you.
  • Add your original artwork, relax, and be creative.  Clinton County has an Online Learning Portal if you need creative ideas or instruction.
  • When your painting party is done, simply return everything to the Piper Building.  The rest will be HISTORY.

Painting Kits Provided: Each group receives a set of painting kits, each created with custom color palettes. These ensure that your paintings will seamlessly fit into the final mural design. Each kit includes brushes, paints, a blank, ready-to-paint tile, and instructions.

Easy & Accessible: No prior art experience is needed!  All ages and skill levels are encouraged to join in.  You choose the date, time, and location so your entire group can participate.

Instructional videos and additional guidance are available at MuralMosaic.com/Clinton

Once all tiles have been painted and returned, they will be assembled by the County into a stunning mural mosaic, unveiled in July 2026.

There are only 750 tiles in total, and all painting
must be fully completed by December 31st, 2025.

The limited supply and tight schedule mean we will distribute the tiles on a
first-come, first-served basis.

Contact us soon if you're interested.  The schedule is filling up quickly!
