The Clinton County Voter Registration / Elections Office maintains all activities relating to Voter Registration and Elections under the supervision of the Clinton County Board of Elections. This is the Office that processes voter registration forms, prepares all supplies for the Elections and schedules all activities that are necessary, before, during and after Election Day.

2026 Important Dates

Ways to Vote:

Mail In Voting - All completed mail-in and absentee ballots must be received by 8 pm on election day. Mail In and Absentee ballots will be mailed beginning April 24, 2026. 

On-Demand Mail-In Voting - Beginning April 24, 2026 until the deadline May 12, 2026 voters can request, receive, complete and submit their mail-in or absentee ballot all in one visit. There is only one location for on-demand Mail-In Voting in Clinton County at the Clinton County Elections Office located at 2 Piper Way in Lock Haven. 

Ballot Box - There is one ballot box located at the Clinton County Piper Building, 2 Piper Way, Lock Haven, PA. The box is open 24/7 until Election Night at 8 PM. 

Polling Place - Polls will be open on Election Day from 7 am to 8 pm.

NOTICE OF MEETINGS OF THE CLINTON COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS

The Clinton County Board of Elections will meet on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 9:30 AM prevailing time at the Clinton County Piper Building, 2 Piper Way, 2nd Floor Conference Room, Lock Haven, PA 17745 to make any temporary appointments for the judges of election, and minority and majority inspectors for the General Primary Election on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. The Board of Elections will also appoint the Clinton County Return Board.

The Clinton County Return Board will meet Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 7:00 AM prevailing time at the Clinton County Piper Building, 2 Piper Way, 1st Floor Conference Room, Lock Haven, PA 17745 to begin pre-canvassing mail ballots cast in the May 19, 2026 General Primary Election.

The Clinton County Return Board will meet on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 8:00 PM prevailing time at the Clinton County Piper Building, 2 Piper Way, 1st floor conference room, Lock Haven, PA 17745 to begin canvassing mail ballots cast in the Tuesday, May 19, 2026 General Primary Election. 

The Clinton County Board of Elections will meet on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM prevailing time at the Clinton County Piper Building, 2 Piper Way, 2nd floor conference room, Lock Haven, PA 17745 to review the Provisional Ballots cast in the May 19, 2026 General Primary Election. 

The Clinton County Return Board will meet on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 9:00 AM prevailing time at the Clinton County Piper Building, 2 Piper Way, 1st floor conference room, Lock Haven, PA 17745 to begin canvassing and computing the official returns of the May 19, 2026 General Primary Election. 

The Clinton County Return Board will meet on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 8:45 AM prevailing time at the Clinton County Piper Building, 2 Piper Way, 1st floor conference room, Lock Haven, PA 17745 to canvass any remaining absentee ballots received from military and overseas electors no later than 5:00 PM on the 7th calendar day after the election. 

The Clinton County Board of Elections will meet on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 8:45AM prevailing time at the Clinton County Piper Building, 2 Piper Way, 2nd floor conference room, Lock Haven, PA 17745. The purpose of the meeting is to determine winners of tie-votes of the General Primary Election held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, to certify the results of the General Primary Election, and any other business of the Board of Election deems appropriate.
