The Clinton County Conservation District is committed to protecting and enhancing the county’s natural resources through education, technical assistance, and conservation programs. We work with landowners, farmers, municipalities, and partners to promote responsible land use, improve water quality, reduce erosion, and support sustainable agriculture and development.

Our District serves as a local resource for conservation planning, grant-funded projects, and guidance on environmental programs and requirements.


How We Can Help

We offer a wide range of services to support conservation and responsible land management, including:

  • Agricultural conservation assistance and best management practices
  • Manure Management and Nutrient Management planning
  • Erosion and Sediment Control (Chapter 102) guidance
  • Water Obstruction and Encroachment (Chapter 105) assistance
  • Watershed restoration and stream improvement projects
  • Dirt, Gravel, and Low Volume Road (DGLVR) projects
  • Grant coordination and project administration
  • Education and outreach programs

  • Basic Boating Course - February 21st, 2026
    • The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will host a Basic Boating Course on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Clinton County Conservation District Learning Center located at 45 Cooperation Lane, Mill Hall, PA 17745
    • This Course is ideal for first time boaters or experienced boaters that are 11 years of age and older looking to refresh their knowledge of PA boating regulations, safety requirements, and best practices. The classroom-based course includes certification exam at the end of the day. Participants who successfully complete the course will earn a Basic Boating Education Certificate.
    • Pre-registration required. There will be a lunch break, but lunch is not provided, so bring snacks/drink. The course is free to attend but to get the Basic Boating Education Certificate will be $10. Registration.

The Conservation District Board of Directors meets regularly to provide oversight and guidance for district programs and operations. Meetings are open to the public unless otherwise noted.
