LOCK HAVEN - For a third year the Clinton County Board of Commissioners approved an application for an Act 88 Election Integrity Grant.
The county is requesting $114,339.77 through the program which is administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development.
Voter Registrar Maria Boileau told the board this funding lasts from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 and covers a range of costs associated with the election process.
The county may use this funding for pre-canvas and canvas of mail-in ballots, security and transparency costs, post election procedures, maintenance, printing of ballots, poll worker training and payment along with securing, preparing, transporting and storing voting apparatus and other required polling place materials.
"This has been very helpful for us," Boileau said of previous grant awards.
