LOCK HAVEN - It was a clean sweep of "yes" votes by Clinton Countians in favor of all four ballot questions in Tuesday's election.
The first ballot question empowers the legislature to extend or terminate an emergency declaration by resolution. It reads, "Shall the Pennsylvania Constitution be amended to change existing law and increase the power of the Federal Assembly to unilaterally terminate or extend a disaster emergency declaration - and the powers of Commonwealth agencies to address the disaster regardless of the severity pursuant to that declaration - through passing a concurrent resolution by simple majority, thereby removing the existing check and balance of presenting a resolution to the Governor for approval or disapproval."
According to the unofficial results, there were 3,817 "yes" votes and 2,315 "no" votes in Clinton County.
The second ballot question reads in part, "Shall the Pennsylvania Constitution be amended to change existing law so that a disaster emergency declaration will expire automatically after 21 days regardless of the severity of the emergency, unless the General Assembly takes action to extend the disaster emergency.
Unofficial vote results in Clinton County were 3,835 "yes" and 2,300 "no" votes.
Question number three asks, "Shall the Pennsylvania Constitution be amended by adding a new section providing that equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged because of an individuals race or ethnicity?"
In Clinton County, the unofficial vote was 3,817 "yes" and 2,315 "no."
The final question expands the state's loan program to volunteer fire companies to municipal fire companies and EMS service nonprofits.
The unofficial vote in Clinton County was 3,885 "yes" and 2,300 "no."
